BUILDING BLOCKS DIGITAL SINGLES CLUB presents
The Torrent
“Life Boat” b/w “Leopold Bloom.”
JOIN OUR FACEBOOK GROUP TO GET THE PASSWORD!
The Torrent are about to release a new album on the Tetrapod label, and all of it is just as great as this single!
“Life Boat” is distorted pop magic, like the missing link between Taking Tiger Mountain and Another Green World. “Leopold Bloom” is a slinky, slow grinding hymn to modernism. Listen to it and Kate Bush’s The Sensual World at the same time and you’ll never have to finish Ulysses!

Just a reminder that our website still sucks. All our available releases can be purchased here on our page at The Blue House.

Four years in the making, produced by Jesse Laine and CW, with artwork by Tara Azzopardi, and featuring 14 sparkling pop gems ranging in style and subject matter, from Burt Lancaster to dead goldfish via hermetic paranoia.
Exclaim also called Hank’s music “sensual.” Sensuality AND hermetic paranoia. Why aren’t you buying this album right now?

No, but dialectics can get your ass on the dance floor. Blocks founder (and now real live art grad student) Steven Kado presents his first full length album under the name The Blankket. It’s Arthur Russell meets On-U Sound System.
NOW Magazine called it, “A nihilist anti-modern death chant.”
Pegatively Nositive is hard hitting music that says THE BAD DAYS WON’T BE OVER SOON. Buy it here.

Now available everywhere vinyl is sold: One Hundred Dollar’s 7-inch, Fourteenth Floor. It’s the first of their “Regional 7inch series” which will also see a platter out on G7 Welcoming Committee. Order here. More info on the series on the band’s website.
One Hundred Dollars is playing SXSW this year…at a church…at the unbelievably favourable time of 11PM! Prediction: An industry flack will have his heart explode after the set, which will lead to him questioning his life , asking himself why he thought “Glitter” was such a perfect synergy project for Mariah Cary. It ends with him pitching his BlackBerry into the sea and pledging to serve the poor.

We are currently redeveloping our website. For now, enjoy this temp piece of shit template I hereby name “Soviet Hospital.” Our releases are now up to date, but our direct order links have to be manually inputted. I did that for the last few releases but not all. Rest assured, most of our recent catalog is available. Best thing to do is go to the Blue House Blocks page.
